Plot Synopsis
A thrilling political drama based on Valerie Plame’s (Naomi Watts) experiences working as a covert CIA officer, whose identity was leaked by the White House. Plame leads an investigation into weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Her husband Joe Wilson (Shaun Penn) is sent by the State Department to Africa to investigate rumours of the possible sale of enriched uranium to Iraq. He finds no evidence. Yet the White House ignores this and declares war on Iraq. After Joe exposes the cover up in The New York Times, the US government strike back by revealing Valerie’s identity to the world. This has huge consequences on Valerie’s reputation, career and marriage.
